If you want a fast reliable laptop. Get ACER Aspire series. You are sure to get a good gaming computer as well and YES, Sims 2 or 3 works on it. They won the Best Buy award again so their must be a reason.
We use it to program, along with other brands like Compaq, Toshiba (krap) etc…Acer is the fastest and extremely hassle-free LOL.

if you want a great one with high performance under 700 .. the samsung netbook nx series is the best….faster than intel atom cores on other netbooks and very high finish…and it even has wifi ,3g and webx=cam…other than that the asus eee pc is a great one and is available in pink and white and is really good…check out asus .com and see ecen toshiba.com for the new portege it is relly good…the dell mini 10 and 9 are also great…and even the hp mininote is also good…but best of all is the asus eee pc which is loaded with features and is price friendly…tell me whn u buy one….best of luck

If you want something really small buy a netbook. I reccomand an Acer Aspire One with an 10 inch display. And the colour can be white, or if you really want pink go for the MSI Wind. Also if you have enough money you can try the HP mini, but it has abusiness look.
